My name is Lorenzo Aguirre, I have been part of the healthcare field for over a decade! I have had the pleasure of working for medical laboratories, been part of clinical research as a Clinical Research Coordinator coordinating clinical trials for Moderna, Pfizer, Lilly, Exact Science, and AMGEN. Also since 2009 I have been an instructor and Director of Training for a local phlebotomy school in Ventura County.
Why CPR? The answer is simple. To have the ability to Identify, Help, and Save a Life. In early 2023 my father in law came to my wife one late Sunday afternoon and asked her to take him to the doctor the following day. This was odd to us because he tries to stay as far away from doctors as possible. He stated that he had been having chest pain, pain in both arms, fatigue, and difficulty breathing. I knew immediately this was not right and we needed to go to the hospital immediately and could not wait for following day to seek help. Upon arriving he was examined and admitted to the hospital. The following day it was determined he had four blocked arteries and was scheduled for surgery that same week!
We are very lucky to still have him with us today! Most heart attack victims are not as fortunate as my father in law was. According to the Cleveland Clinic 325,000 adult deaths in the nation each year from cardiac arrest! Knowing and having the skills to perform First Aid, CPR and use of an AED can be a critical component in saving a loved ones life.
Let me teach you these life saving skills and help save the people closest to you!
